WHY OUR CHURCH?
We are committed to helping each person evaluate his or her spiritual journey and determine the appropriate “next step” in order to take that relationship to the next level. Our journey is never done on this earth and we all have a responsibility to reproduce what Jesus has done in our lives in the lives of others. These are the most common steps to help you along your journey:
Like the first disciples who were invited to “come and see” Jesus. If you’ve never met Jesus for the first time, we’re here to help you do that.
Commit to a personal relationship with God through faith in Jesus Christ alone. Commit to a baptism by immersion as a public testimony of that commitment to Jesus. Commit to becoming a member of our church.
Read the Bible regularly. Pray consistently. Be part of a small group that studies the Bible together.
Serve other people in the name of Jesus – at home, at work, and in the community. Find a place of service at JVBC.
Every Christian has been commanded by Jesus to boldly, but with gentleness and respect, share what Jesus has done in our lives with others and invite them to “come and see” Jesus.
Our Mission & Vision
Welcome to Jay Valley Baptist Church
We believe GOD has put gifts and talents and ability on the inside of every one of us. When you develop that, and you BELIEVE IN YOURSELF and you believe that you’re a person of influence and a PERSON OF PURPOSE, We believe you can rise up out of any situation.
WAY TO GIVEGIVING TO JAY VALLEY BAPTIST CHURCH
We are a community of people loving each other and our Lord. The Bible teaches us a baseline standard for giving: the tithe. Tithing is an act of worship that expresses our gratitude, faith, and love for others.
Lots of Ways to Get Involved.

Now, I need to clear up a common misconception. Did you notice the part about women being “obedient or subject to their husbands”? Often, men make the mistake of thinking the Bible says that submission is a “woman” thing. It’s not. It’s a God thing. According to Ephesians 5:21 ALL Christians are expected to be submissive.read more
Grace is getting the good that we don’t deserve. And that’s important because today people tend to think of heaven as something they can earn. If they do enough good stuff, they’ll get in. But if they don’t…then they’ll go to the other place.read more
What Would You Have Me Do For You? A man walks into a dentist’s office and says, "Excuse me, can you help me? I think I’m a moth." The receptionist replied, "You don’t need a dentist, you need a psychiatrist and his office is just down the hall" The man...read more
God takes the ledger of our life and rips out all the sinful pages. When we’re baptized, all our past is buried in that watery grave and we rise reborn in the image of Christ. Our books are balanced…and our sinful debt…is PAID IN FULL.read more
Who Am I To You? This morning, I’d like to begin by telling you a true story. On a hot summer day in South Florida, a little boy decided to “cool” off in the swimming hole behind his house. His mother was watching out the kitchen window as he jumped...read more
Ever since man has sailed the seven seas, there has always been the fear of the unknown. Have you ever been afraid? Everyone has and it’s normal. But in Mark 4, we find Jesus asking an unusual question of His apostles: “Why are you so afraid?”read more
